Special stains
Fluorescein staining and Rose Bengal staining are special staining procedures used to detect corneal ulcers and various eye injuries. These damages, if not detected in time, can lead to diseases of the front segment and then the back segment of the eye, as well as visual impairment.
These stains can also help us detect a qualitative deficit of tear film or dry eye disease.
Fluorescein is also important in discovering the functionality of the nasolacrimal system.
