Retinal surgery
Retinal detachment can be a very serious consequence of many inherited and acquired ocular diseases. Some breeds of dogs are prone to this disease. A detached retina leads to blindness.
Retinal detachment is sometimes a consequence of eye disease and very often it is a consequence of serious systemic diseases. It is very important to make an early diagnosis of this pathological process and to identify its cause and perform the surgical correction.
We also perform preventive procedures for conditions that can be complicated by a retinal detachment, as well as surgery if the separation has already occurred (transpupillary and transscleral laser surgery, trans-scleral cryo procedure, and intraoperative vitrectomy to prevent retinal detachment).
